Mad World

We have decided to come up with the name 'Mad World' as this links into how the young character hasn't had much of a life, only thirteen years of it and is slowly dying.

We are having trouble in whihc we cannot find an actor young or small enough to play the part of our main character although we have now story boarded all of our ideas and these will shortly be uploaded.
Our group are considering using a younger sibling of mine to help us create our piece, this will mean that i will have no trouble of being able to use my sister for acting and she is at a reasonable age, my sister will seem to fit the part nicely. She is now thirteen and although the child in our piece was only 8/9 this may work better as she may be able to realise her part better and be able to almost imagine what it would feel like to be diagnosed with an incurable desease.

We have considered sound effects and have thought that we won't need many as it is mainly dialogue used, I beileve we will only need sound effects with the life support mahine and other noises you may hear in a hospital, we have also looked into going into hospitals to film although we may have to check this out with the actual hospitals as soon as because if we are refused we will have to use a new location.

lighting has also been looked into and again this may be very simple as we are not trying to create a hollywood blockbuster we will not have to use any CGI as the audience will be mainly focused on the storyline and what is happening with the main character, we are hoping to make the piece very emotional with a range camera work focusing on emotions and characters body language to portray emotion. The film is mainly down to the shots we are using therefore i have tried to add many interesting uses of the camera, such as shots, editing and blue screening.
